we were happy to announcce the arrival of 4 pups to Kichigai sadly on the 13th of November we were to loose one of the boys which left us with only 3 two girls and a boy

What a weekend to remember, Fred gained his final CC making him into a UK Champion
we were so proud he also took Best of Breed and was shortlisted in the group
thanks to everyone who has text me and emailed me their congratulations I do appriciate them all

Bath Champ show she won Minor Puppy Bitch

Southern Counties she was 2nd in Puppy

3 Counties she won Puppy Bitch and Best Puppy in Breed - Shortlisted in the Puppy Group to final 6.

Border Union she won Puppy Bitch and Best Puppy in Breed

12 May 08 after a long 48hrs without sleep we had a good outcome.

10 may up at 5 am for Birmingham Champ show with Fred -1st open dog.

we go back home for 1pm taking Snuffles temp as she had been very restless all morning.

it showed she was going to whelp within 24 hrs so No sleep for me that night as Tasha was away for the weekend.

Sunday came and she is restless and nesting by sunday night we are sure she is in slow labour but at 1.30 am we have been pushing for an hour now and nothing is happening time to get a second opinion so ring vets she is pushing hard and showing signs of something trying to be born but couldnt. By this time we are sure we are going to need a C Section which is how it ended Snuffles couldn't deliver the pup it was just not going to pass.

resulting in 5 pups 2 girls and 3 boys

all are doing well and gaining weight nicely.

This is the first litter for the Natlou Kennel a first for Snuffles and a 3rd litter sired by Fred

I will try and post photo's once they are on their feet.

Chivas has now been to two shows in Norway taking Best in Race (Breed) and Group 1 at both she is begining to show what a star she is going to be, we wish her and Katrina good look with her showing.

on the 26th April Kichigai were to gain there newest Champion Silver was to take the qualifying CAC to gain his title. I am so proud of Silver and Grateful to Katrina for never giving up on him.

Kichigai Alexandrite (Dylan)

I am so proud of one of my pups today. I showed him in the UK until June last year he was 10 months old and was going to his new home in Russia where he is now a Russian Champion today at 19 months Dylan h
as just gone CACIB & BOB at the International Dog Show Grand Prix in St Petersburg. plus they combine it with the Spitz-Dog Show where he went BOB and 3rd Best in show.

Ch Kichigai Amazing Grace

What a week, it started off so well, Ok Monday was ok but things just seemed to get worse from then. Grace was off on Tuesday nothing to put your finger on just quiet but no temperature no visable sign of anything being wrong.

Thursday she started to loose a small amount of pink fluid but knowing she had been in season two weeks prior I was a bit concerned a call to the vet and antibiotics were started. Grace remained quiet, Friday morning I knew she needed more than antibiotics the discharge was getting heavier she was rushed to the vet who scanned her and imediately prepared her for surgery. She remained in the vets overnight and came home Saturday dinner time. At the time of writing this she is very quiet but home and thats the main thing.

Grace is the first Lady of Kichigai and hopefully she will recover to her old self.

Crufts

Crufts has been and gone. we were showing on Thursday with Fred taking a very nice 5th in Open dog and Snuffles took 3rd in a class of 10.
it is a long day for both humans and dogs with the trek back to the car with everything at 4pm a daunting prospect knowing that everyone is leaving the car park at the same time. Traffic is always bad getting out and you just know that you are going to Que for ages in jams all the way up the motorways.
Maybe one year the Crufts organizers will realise that letting everyone out at the same time is not working after all we are paying as well for the privilege of showing at Crufts.

Sunday we took the trek back to the NEC to do discover dogs, this I love doing its so nice to be able to talk all day about my favourite subject the dogs!

We have a weekend off then over Easter we are showing again will post then

I have been on a special trip this month to Norway to deliver one of the pups to its new owner. Chivas is now living with Silver and Cherry and their pups who were born the night before I arrived.
